Septic tank clean out is necessary in all types of septic systems. The process of cleaning out a septic tank can be very daunting to do especially if you are unfamiliar with this type of system. You will need to know exactly what you are doing in order to prevent injuries from occurring to you and to any neighbors that may be around your septic tank. Many people fail to realize that septic tanks need to be cleaned out on a regular basis. They may think that they do not have to worry about cleaning their tanks when they have a small septic system but, in fact, this is something that needs to be cleaned out on a regular basis and you should never skip this step.

A septic system functions by pulling the dirty soil out of the tank and depositing it into the ground beneath. An effluent jet is also emitted into the effluent system to discharge the sludge and scum. A septic tank is simply a long pipe or plastic tube that is buried deep below the earth’s level, designed in such a way as to pull out the dirty soil and scum from the tank. After the dirt has been removed from the inside of the tank, it needs to be removed from the septic system.

The purpose of this drain field is to act as a filtration system for your home’s water supply so that it kills all of the bacteria and other microorganisms in the water that can cause sickness. The bacteria will enter your home through the drain fields and begin to multiply there. This will cause your pipes to clog up and will eventually make it so that you cannot flush the water out of your home anymore. It is these clogs in your pipes that allow the effluent and the sludge to enter your basement and the area around your home. The purpose of septic tanks and treatment centers is to keep the bacteria out of your basement and other areas of your home where the water pipes are connected.
